I invite you to practice freedomDANCE in Minsk. We move with the music and the words of the facilitator, directing attention to the body. We activate and calm down by changing rhythms.
At our next dance meeting we will focus more on cycles in movement. We will notice the stages of activation and calming. We will notice which part is most interesting to us and which part we may be skipping over) We will notice the cycle itself and try to be present in it throughout the movement.
We will expand our freedom of movement through attention to the possibilities of the body. We will allow ourselves to take up more space with our dance, discarding any familiar movement patterns, trying new ones that are not familiar, not obvious.
After each class, body movement becomes more and more liberated, opening up naturally new possibilities for dance. Attention returns to body movement, allowing the head to rest).
Here we are not learning to dance, we are remembering our dance.
