Giorgi Risse est né en Géorgie et a grandi à Moscou. Il vit actuellement en Suisse avec sa femme — rencontrée en dansant — et leur fils.

Titulaire d’un master en psychologie, il a exploré différentes voies de méditation et de pratiques de pleine conscience. En 2015, tout en vivant et étudiant à Vienne, il a découvert la danse consciente, qui est depuis devenue une partie centrale de sa vie.

Depuis 2017, il organise de nombreux cours, ateliers et retraites pour l’école freedomDANCE, notamment pour Alex Svoboda, le fondateur de l’école. Giorgi a enseigné freedomDANCE à Moscou (2019) ainsi qu’à Fribourg et Berne, en Suisse (2020–2021).

Après une pause dans ses activités d’enseignement, il a repris sa pratique avec un nouveau cours régulier à Fribourg en 2026.

Giorgi Risse was born in Georgia and grew up in Moscow. He currently lives in Switzerland with his wife — whom he met while dancing — and their son.

Holding a master’s degree in psychology, he has explored various paths of meditation and mindfulness practices. In 2015, while living and studying in Vienna, he discovered conscious dance, which has since become a central part of his life.

Since 2017, he has been organizing numerous courses, workshops, and retreats for the freedomDANCE school, notably for Alex Svoboda, the founder of the school. Giorgi taught freedomDANCE in Moscow (2019) as well as in Fribourg and Bern, Switzerland (2020–2021).

After a break from teaching, he has resumed his practice with a new regular course in Fribourg in 2026.
